Gruntpocalypse

Today's daily challenges are all only available to Xbox Live Gold Members, due to the fact that the are all firefight matchmaking.

Simply put, the easiest way to get these challenges is on Score Attack.

The Guide on how to get into the correct lobby:

1.Main Menu> Playlist> Cooperative> Score Attack.

2.Go Ahead and start the countdown.

Once you start voting for a map and a game type you'll want to pay attention.

3.Veto games until you get Gruntpocalypse on Courtyard (unlimited vetoes btw). There is a very easy spot on this map to just camp and kill grunts (with headshots!).

Additionally, outpost works well however its very easy to getting blown up with a grenade when you don't notice grunts running up to you from all sides.

Spawn Point

In game directions

Recommended armor ability is Sprint.

Ok, once you have loaded it up don't change the spawn point. Once you spawn, run to the ammo box thing right in front of you to fill up on ammo.

Run through the door and directly to the left. (north on the compass)

There will be another ammo crate at this location. This is the spot where you will camp and snipe grunts to your hearts delight.

Grunts spawn in the courtyard below. This means you're isolated on the raised area at the beginning of each wave. Grunts aren't really in a hurry so we can make a very systematic way to eliminate them.

In order to get the maximum efficiency, keep an eye on your ammo. The ammo crate will help you out greatly and you'll need it if you plan on not dying.

Also in regards to not dying, be mindful of plasma grenades listen and watch for them.

Down to business!

I split the camping area into 3 "zones". (look at the pictures)

Zone 1

Refers to the area above the courtyard facing south and ultimately a ramp to the courtyard. In this Score Attack mode, grunts will walk up that ramp. Fuel rod guns will fire at you when they are to close so keep an eye towards this area.

Zone 2

This is the area between Zones 1and 2. A ramp leads down to the courtyard. There are a lot of crates in this area and grunts will mount them, becoming easy targets for you.

Zone 3

The ramp next to the wall, and closest to the ammo crate.

Tactics:

Once you arrive at the designated spot these directions should keep you alive and killing grunts in a timely fashion.

Running down the ramp nearest the wall (zone 3) provides you an exposed but effective position to eliminate your midget sized foes. This exposes you to the greater mass of grunts that were are avoiding with this method. Feeling overwhelmed? Run back up the ramp (Camp Zone), taking out any grunts you see, and shield up. While your sheild is charging you can take out any grunts following you up the ramp.

Once you finish of the majority of the grunts in Zone 3 focus your attention on Zone 2. It IS alright to leave stragglers they usually just regroup with the other spawn groups.

When you hear or see the reinforcements message then you run back to the camp zone and take out the grunts that spawned in Zone 3.

Killed the zone 3 spawns? Look down the Zone 2 ramp. Finished? Glance at Zone 1. If there are grunts, shoot them. If not then double check Zone 3 and Zone 2. If that whole courtyard is empty then you can watch Zone 1 and wait for the rest of the grunts to walk up. These are easy to take out from a distance but fuel rod cannons can be a problem.

Wait for reinforcements and repeat.

Simplified Method

Grunts spawn in four (usually), some have fuel rod cannons, 1/4th have helmets, and they all have plasma grenades. Watch out for Catch.

Start at the camp Zone. Shoot grunts at the bottom of the ramp by the wall. They usually either follow you or run to the right (south).

Grenades take out the spawn groups very well.

After you take them out check zone 2 and pick off any easy targets. Don't invest to much time on one area unless you've cleared out the other areas.

Always check the other zones when reloading unless they are clear.

Repeat after every spawn. How long it takes depends on how long it takes for you to kill and entire of wave.
